In celebration of the National Heritage Month in May, The Hague PE hosted the Panalangin Tour of Douglas Nierras Powerdance (DNP) on 28 May 2009 at the Saint Antonius Abbot Church in Scheveningseweg, The Hague.
The Hague was the first European city where DNP performed its Panalangin Tour for 2009. More than 250 guests from the Diplomatic Corps, Dutch government, Dutch and Filipino Communities came to watch the one of a kind prayer dance performance of DNP.
Panalangin is a one of a kind dance repertoire on spirituality and prayer with 8 dance compositions: Requiem, Tenderness, Lux Aeterna, Salamin ng Buhay, Coroner’s Report, Ave Maria, Gloria, and Panalangin. The dance repertoire has a running time of 1 hour.
As the Hall of Fame Aliw Awardee in 2004, DNP is considered as the Philippines’ premiere contemporary dance company in modern dance, jazz, and showdance.
The audience was impressed by the Filipino talent and grace shown at the DNP performance. |
