Kammerchor Manila Performs in The Hague in Celebration of
the 148th Birthday of Dr. José P. Rizal

Kammerchor Manila, winner of the Gold Diploma for Mixed Choir Category, Silver Diploma for Sacred Choir Category, and Special Prize for Outstanding Interpretation of a Folk Song at the 2nd International Anton Bruckner Choir Competition and Festival 2009 in Linz, Austria, held a concert on 19 June 2009 at the Saint Antonius Abbot Church in Scheveningseweg, The Hague, in celebration of the 148th Birthday of Dr. José P. Rizal.
Kammerchor Manila, a church choir based in Quezon City, is well known for its repertoire of sacred choir songs such as As Vesta Was, Ave Maria, Salmo 150, Virga Jesse, Crucifixus, to name a few. These songs, together with well-loved Filipino songs such as Rosas Pandan, Inday sa Balitaw, Handog, and Anak, were among the songs that made up Kammerchor Manila’s repertoire in the Hague.
The concert was attended by more than 150 guests from the Filipino and Dutch Communities in The Netherlands.
